EASEL Training has 15 years of experience in training professionals in demanding interaction tasks to succeed and cope. Easel Training's cooperation with Sellai began when EASEL set up to actualize CEO Mari Louhi-Norppa's dream of building low-threshold online coaching from longer training programs. "The training work of workgroups and supervisors had been going on for about 15 years, but after the coronavirus pandemic made it more difficult to organise traditional training, we encountered situations where customers wanted to have access to certain core services in some form. This gave rise to EASEL online courses for our "virtual livingroom" Volkkari. At Volkkari you can get to know the courses at your own pace when it suits you," Louhi-Norppa says.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, interaction in the workplace has changed significantly. The stress level of the clients and professionals engaged in demanding interaction work has risen. Even if there is a good foundation for interaction between work communities, it suffers from the fact that issues that have previously been dealt with face-to-face are now dealt through Teams and Zoom. This poses new challenges for both managers and employees, and these challenges are not easy to overcome. Sellai arrives
It was clear to Mari Louhi-Norppa that a completely new product required a new kind of sales work: "Online training requires different sales work and different sales points than traditional coaching. So a new salesperson with expertise was needed for the sales of the trainings."
At this point, Sellai stepped in, especially Ilkka Laine, a consultant who is taking care of EASEL Training's sales. "Cooperation with EASEL Training has given me a lot. I have been able to get to know a completely new product and target groups."
The main target group for online trainings has been professionals that work with people on a variety of fields. These professionals are under a great pressure in the current pandemic situation. "The appreciation for customers has grown enormously, they are having a really hard time and there is a lot of demand for this kind of training. There is a need to invest in well-being at work and interaction skills in these industries" Laine says.
Louhi-Norppa praises the cooperation, even though the cooperation has not yet been going on for very long. "Sellai has fulfilled all their promises, and the impression Ilkka gives to the customer fits perfectly into our company's values. He genuinely feels like a member of EASEL Training's team!"
Laine says that this is probably because Sellai strives to truly get to know and understand the customer's business. He himself finds the products that are being sold to be of very high quality and interesting. He was selected for the job because he is interested in psychology, which is an important part of the content of the trainings.
Sellai's consultant always strives to get to know and understand the customer's business. EASEL could have hired its own salesperson, but similar experience and know-how cannot be easily found.
According to Louhi-Norppa, Sellai was a very good choice:
"We could have hired a salesperson for our own organisation, but similar experience and expertise cannot be easily found. In that sense, Sellai was an easy choice as they were able to provide us with a prepared and competent salesperson and tools to monitor the work. The cooperation has therefore started off excellently. I wouldn't have expected Ilkka to be able to close deals with customers so quickly."
This isn't over!
The cooperation has been going on only for a while, but according to Louhi-Norppa, the results are promising based on both sales and feedback from participants that joined the training. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, new forms of interaction have emerged, which pose new challenges for managers and professionals.
At the same time, employers have understood the importance of well-being at work in a completely new way. Lohi-Norppa estimates that EASEL Training has the potential to grow its operations internationally as well: "Our work is international and the aim is to expand our operations by translating online trainings into other languages as well. One of the reasons we chose Sellai as our partner is that sales also outside Finland's borders are possible with them and we can continue with a great partner."
